Groundbreaking Ceremony:
Tuesday, May 25, 2021

More of a "Wall Smashing" Ceremony - Lincoln Elementary School hosted an event to signify the commencement of referendum-funded District Facility Projects. Lincoln Elementary is one of the 6 SDJ schools that will see construction in the first of three phases of the Secure Pathways Project. (See graphic at top of page.)

Lincoln Elementary students and members of School District of Janesville Leadership & School Board put on their hard hats and smashed the symbolic wall.

Dr. Shawn Galvin (Principal of Lincoln Elementary School), Steve Pophal (Superintendent of Schools), and Greg Ardrey (School Board Treasurer) addressed attendees with words of gratitude and excitement for projects to begin. Members of the School District of Janesville and Janesville media representatives were present.

Thank you to JP Cullen & EUA for your work organizing this event!
