In the School District of Janesville, we know that a child’s education is a true partnership between home, school, and community. Whether you are enrolling your first student, looking up school hours, or seeking support services, these pages are your central resource. Our Schools & Educational Pathways

The School District of Janesville offers a seamless learning journey tailored to every stage of child development across our 20+ school communities.

Elementary Schools (Pre-K – Grade 5)

  • Foundation for Learning: Our 12 neighborhood elementary schools focus on early literacy, hands-on math and science, character education, and supportive classroom environments.

  • Early Childhood Options: Includes Preschool 4 Janesville (P4J) partnership sites across the community to give four-year-olds a strong, play-based academic start.

  • Schools: Adams, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Kennedy, Lincoln, Madison, Monroe, Roosevelt, Van Buren, Washington, and Wilson.

Middle Schools (Grades 6 – 8)

  • Exploration & Growth: Designed specifically for adolescent development, our middle schools balance core academic rigor with exploratory electives in technology, art, music, world languages, and leadership.

  • Activities & Athletics: Students build connections through clubs, intramurals, and interscholastic sports teams.

  • Schools: Edison Middle School, Franklin Middle School, and Marshall Middle School.

  • Smooth Transitions: Neighborhood elementary schools connect to designated middle school pathways so students move up alongside familiar peers.

High Schools (Grades 9 – 12)

  • Comprehensive High Schools: Craig High School and Parker High School offer rich academic programs, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, dual-credit college partnerships, career and technical education (CTE) academies, championship athletics, and fine arts.

  • Charter & Specialized Learning: Distinct pathways tailored to individual student interests, including Rock University High School (STEM and early college preparation), ARISE Virtual Academy (flexible K–12 online learning), and Rock River Charter School.
