Benefits Buzz for Retirees Vol 1

Welcome!

Hello,

The School District of Janesville is pleased to introduce “Benefits Buzz,” a new bulletin we will use to share important information with our school district retirees!

My name is Tina Johnson, and for those that may not know me, I am the Director of Benefits Administration and Wellness for the SDJ.  Over the past five years with the district, job duties have been varied—always busy, and always exciting. As the primary liaison to our retiree group, I understand how important communications is with respect to ensuring you receive the right information in a timely manner. I also know how important it is to be accessible for you when you need assistance with your post-retirement benefits. We all know how complicated insurance matters can be, and I am here to help you navigate successfully through them!

A little bit more about me: I am the proud mother of 2 beautiful children, Kayla – 21 and Carter – 13. I also have two fantastic dogs, Belle (shepherd/lab) and Mylee (pomsky/golden), both rescues. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, organizing (Maria Kondo is my hero!), and playing board games with my son.

My background is in education, specifically music, which I taught for 20 years (in McHenry and Libertyville, IL). I have a Masters in Educational Leadership, a Masters in Administration, and I am working towards my Superintendent License.

I hope that you find the “Benefits Buzz” helpful, and want you to know that you can always reach out to me with any questions you may have!

Sincerely,
Tina Johnson
