Dual Credit Courses
EARN COLLEGE CREDITS IN HIGH SCHOOL (Dual-Credit)
It is the State Superintendent’s goal and the School District of Janesville’s promise that all students in Wisconsin, regardless of where they live, should have the opportunity to earn some postsecondary credits while still in high school. The result will provide students, families and schools increased post secondary opportunities including: young people succeeding in college-level courses during high school and are graduating high school college and career ready; increasing the number of students who go on to enroll and succeed in higher education; and reducing the total time to degree – saving students and families money.
High school students in the School District of Janesville can currently earn college credit in a variety of ways, including Advanced Placement exams, the Early College Credit Program, Start College Now, College Credit in High Schools programs through the University of Wisconsin System (UW System), and transcripted credit through the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).
Students should contact their high school counselor to find out more about these opportunities.
