Back to School Information
The School District of Janesville (SDJ) is making plans for the start of the 2021-22 school year, and as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are committed to keeping our families, staff, students, and community members informed. SDJ is committed to resuming school operations in as much of a ‘normal’ way as possible, while taking into consideration CDC and state/local public health department guidance. We promise to keep you informed as we work together to open schools in September in a way that considers the health and safety of everyone.
The SDJ will return to face to face instruction for the 2021-22 school year. We understand that due to lingering concerns about COVID-19, students and families may wish to consider a different option for returning to school during the 2021-22 school year. SDJ continues to offer multiple programming options for students and families that provide a quality education to prepare students for life and careers beyond high school (details below). The 'default' option is daily face-to-face instruction in a traditional school setting. Parents should contact their child’s school directly or the New Student Enrollment Office at 608-743-5153 regarding any questions about school placement for the 2021-22 school year.
