College Level Courses

Courses formerly referred to as "Youth Options" has been replaced by 2 separate programs.  The two options are "Start College Now" and "Early College Credit Program".  These new program application deadlines are March 1st for Fall enrollment of the following school year and October 1st for the Spring Semesters.  Click on the link for more information: College and Careers Website


Prices Reduced!

The Janesville Transit Service has reduced pricing for Youth Bus Tokens and Semester Bus Passes. YouthTokens will be 75 cents and the Semester Bus Passes will be $120 (available for purchase on January 8, 2018). To obtain tokens or passes please stop by any Janesville middle or high school office. For more information see City of Janesville News.

Inclement Weather Info

When a decision is made to close school or delay the start of school due to weather, parents will be notified by Infinite Campus messenger, and details will be posted to SDJ Facebook page, the SDJ Homepage, and provided to local media. When possible, notifications will come the night before, but no later than 6:00 a.m. the day of.  For parents looking to adjust the way inclement weather notification messages are received through Infinite Campus, please click on instructions.

The School District of Janesville Board of Education recently reaffirmed its adoption of the Wisconsin Academic Standards with a few variations for the 2017-18 school year and beyond.
