Welcome to Marshall Middle School
Marshall Middle School is located in Janesville, Wisconsin, a community with a population of approximately 65,000. Janesville is known as the “city of parks.” It is strategically located near Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as Rockford and Chicago, Illinois.
Marshall Middle School has approximately 980 students in grades six through eight. The principal is supported by an assistant principal, a learning support teacher, a school resource officer, and two counselors.
Marshall Middle School is guided in its year-to-year operations by a Continuous Growth Plan (CGP). A major emphasis at Marshall Middle School is for optimal academic growth for each student. This growth is measured on standardized assessments and with authentic assessment instruments. The staff utilizes higher level questioning techniques and writing across the curriculum. Using these strategies and applying effective schooling techniques, the hope is to meet each individual student’s academic, social, and emotional needs.
