The School District of Janesville has implemented an “Evidence Based Leadership” initiative to lead us toward excellence in education. The goal is to work to transfer effective evidence-based tools and processes to the public school setting. Some of the tools and processes are surveys, rounding and the LEM (Leadership Evaluation Measurement).
Results of the staff and parent surveys direct the goals of the district, while keeping in mind that student achievement is our primary goal. Education and teaching is the pathway to improving student achievement. Evidence Based Leadership starts with the Board of Education’s mission, vision and goals.
The board goals are structured under the six pillars of Service, Quality, People, Finance Growth and Health & Safety. The goals for the 2009-10 year are measurable goals based on the staff and parent surveys, WKCE test scores, yearly budget, enrollment and health /safety data.
For your convenience you can find the most recent data under the Board of Education – Board Goals. Prior to the 2nd Board meeting of each month the most recent data will be posted under each goal. Please follow our progress in taking our district from “good to great”.
